Would I be able to edit Sony PMW F3 footage on Sony Vegas PRO 10 without my PC crashing?

I want to shot a feature with the F3 and record on a nanoflash so I can get 422 uncompressed video but I'm concern that my HP Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-970 six-core 3.2GHz with 8GB DDR3 RAM and 1GB DDR3 Radeon HD 6570 won't be able to handle the data. I don't want to buy an Apple and FCP!
