What is the cheapest piece of equipment than can be used to capture MiniDVs?

I have agreed to edit a film for a friend, she has around 20 MiniDV's that still need to be captured to FCP. Unfortunately she doesn't have access to a camera or a deck and I am unable to use any of my equipment outside of work. Therefore I was going to suggest hiring some equipment for a week to capture, I was therefore hoping to find out what would be the cheapest piece of equipment she could hire which would still reliably capture all her footage.
